County Tax Rolls
Greetings from the Mayes County Assessor's Office.  We are providing this website free to the public in the Assessor's Photocounty's on-going effort to make public information more accessible than ever before.  While we always welcome your phone calls and visits to our office in the courthouse, we know that you increasingly expect to find the information you need "on the internet" at a time and place that is convenient to you--24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.  In addition to searching our database here, you can also download and print the forms you need.

INFORMATION ABOUT THE
COUNTY ASSESSOR'S OFFICE

Under state law all property is subject to taxation unless otherwise exempted. In Oklahoma property taxes are the major source of funds for public schools, law enforcement, fire protection, county roads, parks and other vital services.  Property taxes are based on the assessed value of your property. Property tax bills show land and improvement values. Improvements include all assessable buildings and structures on the land.   Properties that are owned and used by educational, charitable, religious or government organizations may be exempt from  property taxes.

GOOD NEWS FOR SAFARI USERS
Recent changes "fixing" the fly-out menus in the Safari browser should make this website Mac-friendly.   The majority of all site visitors still use a version of the Internet Explorer; however, the percent using Firefox, Mozilla/Netscape and Safari browsers has grown over recent months.  As long as you use a relatively recent version of one of these browsers, you should not experience browser-related problems.  A small minority of visitors use other browsers with no reported issues.
